The third annual San Diego Book Festival is this weekend, this event will feature discussion panels, entertainment and activities for all-ages. Food and books will also be sold as well as meet and greet local authors. Off site parking is available at the Encinitas City parking lot.
Among the authors attending will be Edith Hope Fine (Water, weed and wait), Gretchen Schomer Wendel (The Becka and the big bubble series).
*Personal Note: Our 6 year old had the opportunity of meeting Edith Hope at her school and we have her book "Water, weed and wait" it is fantastic! and a great read for young kids.

It's Autumn, apple season is in full splendor at Julian. Join the Julian Merchants Association in their annual festival where there will be live music, dancing, antique tractors diplayed, games and activities for kids, gold panning demonstrations, food and of course apple pies! YUMMY!
