Pumpkin Patches in San Diego County.

Here is a list of pumpkin patches located in San Diego County, please keep in mind this list only includes farms that allow for an excellent family outing on any given weekend during the month of October.

Bates Nut Farm

This farm has over 40 years of tradition! it is located in Valley Center and offers visitors a great variety of nuts, pumpkins, squash, gourds -of all shapes and sizes!  It also features tractor/hayrides, straw maze, pony rides, petting corral, farm zoo and has a picnic area for you to enjoy your snacks. During the weekends Bates Nut Farm has a series of events and happenings so make sure you check their website when planing your visit.

Their pumpkin patch will be open from September 24th - October 31. If you are part of a playgroup, school, girl scout troop the offer tours and request that you reserve directly with them. You can contact them at (760) 749-3333.

Oma's Pumpkin Patch

At Van Ommering Dairy, located in Lakeside. This pumpkin patch has been celebrating the halloween tradition for 12 years!  It is only open to non groups on afternoons Tuesday through Saturday. And offers visitors an assortment of pumpkins from tiny to 100+ lbs! lunch tables with shaded area, playground equipment, sand pile with toy trucks and tractors, covered hay rides around the farm, hay bale maze and a petting corral among other activities.

Also available for sale they have indian corn, corn stalks, gourds and hay bales. Their pumpkin patch will be open from September 27th through November 5th. Please note that they are closed Sundays and Mondays. Please remember if you are part of a large group (20+ people) they request you make a reservation by calling Brenda at (619) 390-2929.

Norris Amusements Pumpkin Patch

This pumpkin patch is family owned and operated for 10 years! Located off of Scripps Poway Parkway. It features a petting zoo, pony rides, games, inflatables and much more! This pumpkin patch is proud to feature good family fun.

Norris Amusements Pumpkin Patch will be open from October 2 through October 31. They are open 7 days a week.

Hours of operation: Friday/Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. and Sunday - Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Cost: FREE admission.

Pinery Pumpkin Patch

Pinery Pumpkin Patch has 5 different locations, however only 2 of them are farms. Among their farm locations are: Rancho Bernardo and Bonita. For their pumpkin stations are: Mission Valley Mall, El Cajon at Parkway Plaza Mall and Chula Vista at Southwestern College.

At their farms: Rancho Bernardo and Bonita they feature live pumpkins of all sizes, gourds, indian corn, 8ft. high corn maze, tractor/hay wagon rides, picnic area and farm animals.

At their pumpkin stations: Mission Valley, El Cajon and Southwestern College they feature inflatable slides, jumpers and ferris wheel among other rides.

This Pumpkin Patch is open from October 1 through October 31.

INSIDER'S TIP: These Pumpkin Patches are on farms which means dirt is a must! so we highly suggest wearing jeans, tennis shoes and taking a jacket along (just in case) also sunscreen is a must.
