Delicious Mexican Holiday Punch "Calientito"

Every year growing up in Baja I remember that friends and neighbors would organize the traditional "Posadas" and gather after them to have dinner; tamales, re fried beans, pasta salad and of course "calientito" punch. It was all so delicious and home made from scratch!

INGREDIENTS:

1 Sugar Cane stalk (cut into 2 inch long pieces)
1 Cinnamon stick
Piloncillo (to desired sweetness)
6 Guavas
8 CrabApples (a.k.a. in Mexico as Tejocote)
2 Medium sized apples cut into bite size pieces
2 Medium oranges peeled and cut into bite size pieces
1/2 cup of prunes
1 Small bottle of Pomegranate Juice
6 Cups of water
Walnut halves (this is an optional ingredient)

PREPARATION:

1.-  Boil water and PomegranateJuice with sugar cane and cinnamon.

2.- Add fruits, by order of the hardest texture (i.e. sugar cane, apples, etc.)

3.- Serve hot.
