" The Big Year" New Year's Resolution Checklist

Every year I think to myself: "This year will be my big year". It could be simple resolutions such as enjoying every second to the fullest to losing those extra pounds. It is the promise of a new tomorrow and a new opportunity to make things right and enjoy it at the same time.

What I did different last year and this year again was write down my goals, my resolutions so that I can be reminded of the commitment I agreed to with myself.

Here is a great New Year's Resolutions Checklist to help you continue with your commitment this year. You may print and place on your refrigerator to remind you and your family of your goals for your "Big Year"

Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson star in "The Big Year" a movie about three men competing to have their "Big Year" as bird watchers and traveling coast to coast to achieve that.

In honor of the DVD/Blu-Ray release of "The Big Year" on January 31, we will be hosting a giveaway. Details to be announced soon.

*I received a copy of "the big year" as a gift, however all opinions shared on this blog post are my own.

  3. Well, that sounds great, I enjoy Steve Martin and his crazy behavior.
I at least achieved 1 goal in 2011, but I admit it was easy. I changed to a Tracfone prepaid phone plan and saved $960 by buying a $19.99 phone card every 3 months, 90 days service/120 minutes (if you have the double minutes for life plan). Now my savings are going towards a trip to Italy in February. At least this is one reward for cutting down house hold expenses.

Losing weight is always at the top of my new years list, but this time I'm making my goals quantifiable, by having a weight loss and walking chart on my kitchen wall.
This year my goals are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and there's a time limit to each of them. Perhaps this will make losing weight over the long term easier.
Instead of eating sweets I'm eating berries, I'm cutting out all carbs and only having diet soup and vegies at night and I'm walking with my friends and family 3 times a week to get into a routine.
Good luck with your goals for this year,I think the more you tell your friends and family about your goals the more moral support you'll get from them in your pursuits.
