Holiday decor, we all love it! that is until it is time to take them down and put away for about 350 or so days. We at our home have the tradition of keeping everything decorated until January 6th, the day of the Magi or the 3 wise men arrived at the Manger where Jesus was born with gifts for him.

It is a tradition in most of Mexico specifically Baja to keep decorations up until that day and have the family over to enjoy some "rosca" a special cake that is shaped like an oval and has pieces of dried fruit on top and hidden plastic babies inside about 6 per "rosca". If you find one in the piece of "rosca" you are served then on February 2nd -"Dia de la Candelaria" you will host a tamale dinner.

When does Holiday decor come down at your home? is it after New Year's Eve? or later?
