Where? What? Wednesdays week 05/02

THE SKY TONIGHT

This is a very popular monthly live planetarium show and this week it focuses on Saturn and will also report on the upcoming Annular Solar Eclipse on Sunday May 20! A professional astronomer leads backyard stargazers through the universe, reaching a new level of stunning full color visuals and incredibly realistic simulations of cosmic phenomena with our new state-of-the-art digital GSX™ projection system. Weather and operational requirement permitting, the SD County Astronomy Association provides free telescope viewing outdoors on the Prado in Balboa Park.

DATE: Wednesday May 2nd
TIME: 7:00 p.m. & 8:15 p.m.
COST: $12.00 per person
AGES: Suggested for school aged kids.

San Diego, CA

It's the 29th annual celebration which features traditional Mariachi music, ballet flolklorico {traditional Mexican dances}, take a ride in a stagecoach and explore museums and specialty stores. Food will be sold too. 

DATE: Friday May 4th, Saturday May 5th and Sunday May 6th

MONTANA SKIES
Museum of Making Music
Carlsbad, CA

This fun duo of cello and guitar are fabulous! They are having a special concert at the fantastic Museum of Making Music. During their concert they will play music from Pink Floyd and Rush to Vivaldi! as well as their own originals.

AGES: Suggested for school aged kids and up.
