This annual event features more than 150 artists, has live music, food vendors and local arts organizations have a specially for kids hands-on projects throughout the event which is called KidsWalk.

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Jazz88 Ocean Beach Music & Art Festival
Newport Ave. Between Cable st. and the Ocean

This event features 8 different stages with 23 bands playing! in addition 80 fine artists! It is the perfect festival for beer enthusiasts, foodies, art aficionados and jazz lovers! the perfect ending for the summer season!

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.*
Cost: Adults $30 / kids 12 and under are FREE
Date: Saturday September 10th
Ages: All ages welcome, however select sections will be for 21+ ONLY.

*We suggest arriving as early as 8:30 a.m. to get off street parking! take advantage and go for a nice walk.

Grandparents Day at The Fleet.
Reuben H. Fleet Science Center

Celebrate Grandparents Day at the Fleet with your grandkids! in honor of National Grandparents Day the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center is offering FREE admission to their exhibits. This is the perfect opportunity to see the "Identity" exhibit if you haven't since this exhibit closes at the end of this month.

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Date: Sunday September 11th
Cost: FREE for grandparents accompanied by their grandkids

9/11 Tenth Annual Memorial Service
USS Midway Museum
910 N. Harbor Dr.
Downtown San Diego

There will be an 11-star wreath laying ceremony, a US Navy flyover, a reading of the names accompanied by a tolling of the bells, a twin helicopter flyover, a twenty one gun salute along with additional tributes.  The ceremony will begin at 2:30 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2011 on the Flight Deck of the USS Midway Museum.

Also among the services will be: Honor Guards from San Diego Fire Department, the US Border Patrol, Orange County Fire Department, Belleview, Washington Fire Department, Camp Pendleton Federal Fire Department, Oceanside Fire Department, Transportation Security Administration and the San Diego Emerald Society.
Date: Sunday September 11th
Time: Boarding begins at 1:30 p.m.
Cost: FREE
Ages: All ages welcome
