Toddler Tuesdays week 02/21

This week our toddler has been talking more and more each day, well yesterday for the first time he said: "I luv u mama" it totally made me smile and my heart swelled up in joy. Those precious words from him were major for me. I guess they are for any mom, I remember when my 6 year old said them for the first time precious!

How did you feel the first time your child said "I love you"?

    1. Now that IS priceless like you say. I strongly believe that once you are a parent you are always a parent and your children will always love and value you in their own way of course. ;)

  2. It's the same feeling for a Dad! My 20 month old daughter said Love You Daddy the other day and I almost fainted with pride!!

My wife melted a bit too, it was a really nice feeling. Almost like a pat on the back that you're doing a good job:)

    1. Exactly! that is how I felt. He is 2 years old and sometimes we can't understand what he says but this was like telling me "mom I am learning! I really am give me some time and I will talk!"

  3. That is one of my favorite memories from the girls... when they tell you they love you for the first time! Melted my heart with each one of them! I love the point when they can actually have a conversation with you! I love to ask them random questions just to see what they say! ABH

    1. True, my 6 year old starts up conversations that are fun and I get to bond with her through them. So older means more fun. Random questions are fun, we sometimes play 20 questions it allows us to get to know each other even more :)
