The San Diego Air & Space Museum is set to launch its annual Paper Airplane Festival, this Saturday, March 17th. Attendees will participate in a family-friendly, inspirational and educational day at the Museum, enjoying hands-on experiences while gaining insight into the science of flight by creating many fun types of paper airplanes.
During the festival people of all ages can engage in hands-on activities, competitions and participate in a mass launch at the end of the festival. Attendees can learn to fold many different types of space-themed paper airplanes and enter into competitions, which include farthest flight distance, longest air time, and flight accuracy.
Food will be available for purchase from the Flight Path Grill on the Museum's back patio. Everyone is encouraged to stay for the group launch in front of the Museum at 3pm.
