Ellen and Matt {CD Review}

In our family music plays an important role, we listen to music in the car, at home, when we are happy, when we are sad, when we need to relax. It is a big part of our life. We enjoy going to concerts and of course we love to dance too. This week we received a copy of Ellen and Matt's latest CD called "It's love". 

 Ellen and Matt? Who are they? 

They are kindie rock artists based out of Los Angeles that have released their second album "It's Love", in which you will hear songs with original lyrics that children can relate to. The sounds of their songs will make you get up from your seat and dance and the lyrics are very catchy too. {I know because I've been singing the "Playground" song since we received the CD.

Matt is a self-taught musician who started playing guitar in garage bands with his friends in high school. He plays guitar, banjo and does vocals on the CD.

Ellen is lead vocals, she played piano when she was a kid. They formed their band when their first born son was only 2 years old. 

The design of the "It's Love" CD cover makes you feel groovy, it features close-up photos of Ellen and Matt when they were kids. Both Adventure Girl and Boy wanted to see the CD and immediately asked to listen to it. So I put it on as we were driving home from school and sure enough after two songs they were dancing and jammin' in the backseat! 

We now have a new favorite band with two new favorite songs, Adventure Girl has been singing "Climb a Rainbow" since Tuesday and I can't stop singing "Playground" and you know what other song we enjoyed? "Your body is a Zoo". Adventure Boy was dancing {as best as a 2 year old can} to "Playground" and when "Tickle Bug" was playing we had a tickle fest!

This just shows how much we enjoyed their music. The rhythm of several songs reminded me of the 90s, oh those very fun 90s {I loved the 90s!} and other songs reminded me of the 80s. It's the perfect CD for families specially when you can relate to their lyrics.  ADVENTURE MOM APPROVED! :)
