BalletBody Core Workout

A few weeks ago I received a DVD copy of Leah Sarago's BalletBody Core Workout. I was a little nervous since I haven't put my core to a full workout where I focus on making my muscles work. I had been worried about my core since I had two c-sections and I felt that it was time to put it back to work.

This workout is 45 minutes long and is a combination of pilates, ballet and yoga. The music is upbeat and instrumental and Leah does a great job at instructing what to do.

The first workout was intense, my whole body kept shaking and I could feel the tingling muscles in my core. I knew I had put my muscles to work well, but still need a lot of work as I stretched I felt the workout. 10 minutes into the routine you are working on a mat laying down on the floor, this part I thought would be a breeze, however I kept gasping for air as I used my abdominal muscles and my obliques to move and do each rep.

I took ballet when I was in grade school for less than a year and have many friends that are ballerinas or once were so the movements were not so new to me. I've been doing the DVD every other day for two weeks now and even though it was a rocky start for me I did not give up. I kept thinking that every time I did the complete workout routine I would be stronger. I'm glad I have continued to do the entire routine even if sometimes my position is not 100% perfect, I have been noticing a little more definition and in addition I feel so proud of myself because each time I do the workout I get better, I can do it with  more ease and enjoy it even more.

If you are looking for a way to tone your core and get more definition without weights this is the perfect workout for you! I plan on continuing with this DVD and am glad I added it to my workout collection.

I no longer have to worry about getting out of the house to go to the gym when it rains or it's too cold for it.

DISCLOSURE: I received a Free copy of BalletBody Core Workout which facilitated my review.
