Disclosure: I did not receive any compensation, I just wanted to share about our favorite family tradition while living in San Diego. All images courtesy of Bates Nut Farm.
It's October and that means that Pumpkin Patches are popping up everywhere in San Diego. One of our favorite ones is Bates Nut Farm. This family owned and operated Pumpkin Patch opened its doors for the 2013 season last weekend! So this means they are ready for you to visit them and all their fun events!
Fall is my favorite season of all and these pictures will help set the mood for you too!
Take your family for some fun at Bates Nut Farm and pick up your pumpkin while you are there. They have a straw maze and in it there are 8 hidden mailboxes to find. Their tractor is ready to take you on a ride around their fields of corn and big mac pumpkins.
On Saturday October 5th and Sunday October 6th they will have a Pumpkin Festival, see beautiful jewelry, candles, woodworking, toy making and many other handmade items. Get an early start on your shopping! Bates' famous Pumpkin Patch will also be open with a variety of family friendly activities including hay rides, a straw maze, pony rides and numerous food vendors.
This will certainly be lots of fun!
Their Pumpkin Patch season runs from September 28th through October 31. Make sure you visit to have lots of farm fun! and as always admission and parking are FREE!
Bates Nut Farm is also a great place to stock up on homemade fudge, nuts, dried fruit, bulk tea and other natural and delicious snacks! If you are not near them they also have an online shop!
They also offer educational tours!
Bates Nut Farm is located at 15954 Woods Valley Rd. in Valley Center Ca. for up to date information and to plan your visit make sure you follow them on their Facebook page.
