Zootopia

We are just 2 weeks away from Disney's latest animated film Zootopia opening in theaters everywhere, and in case you weren't keeping track it's Walt Disney Animation Studios' 55th animated feature!

Here are some details on what this upcoming film is all about:

Zootopia is a city, inhabited by modern mammals. It has neighborhoods like the ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it is where animals from every environment live together. It's a place where you can be anything, but when rookie Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia,” a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard (“Tangled,” “Bolt”) and Rich Moore (“Wreck-It Ralph,” “The Simpsons”) and co-directed by Jared Bush (“Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero”).

This is probably my favorite clip from the movie, probably because I know how slow sloths are and have seen them in the wild. They really are slow! We are excited and can't wait to see Zootopia. Follow all the Zootopia fun on Facebook, Twitter, and their official website. Zootopia opens in theaters everywhere on March 4th!

And to celebrate it's upcoming release, I'm happy to share with you some coloring pages of Officer Judy Hopps and friends.

A Frozen Thanksgiving!

One of my favorite holidays out of the entire year is Thanksgiving. I have such fond memories of this holiday while growing up, family dinner in which close friends were always included. My mother and grandmother always preparing dinner, most recently my sister and mother getting the turkey basted.

My kids get excited in preparations for Christmas and we decorate our home, there is also all the family/kid friendly movies that are released and this year is no exception.

Disney's Frozen will open in theaters in the United States on November 27th! My daughter can barely contain her excitement, luckily we have some print out activities and the official movie trailer for you to enjoy while we anxiously await for it to be released.

Disney Jr. Appisodes {review #sponsored #ad}

Disclosure as per FTC: We were invited to review their app along with 2 episodes for which we received an iTunes card that covered the cost of the episodes. All opinions in this post and video are 100% my own -except when I quote my kids.

Disney Jr. has launched a new app called Appisodes and just a couple of weeks ago it released two new interactive episodes of their popular series {and one of my kids' favorites} Doc McStuffins. We were invited to review their app along with the Doc McStuffins appisode and our choice of an additional episode -for which we chose Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

For more information and details on this great app for kids please visit Disney Jr. Appisodes app on the iTunes store.  {this is a sponsored link}.

Disney's The Lion King

I'm super excited this week, I am anxiously awaiting Wednesday evening when Adventure Girl and I will be driving to San Francisco to enjoy the live performance of Disney's The Lion King!

It's a surprise for her.

I love Disney and from all the images I've seen and all I've heard about Disney on Broadway I can say that not only am I excited for the performance, but also for the music, the costumes and the set. I know Disney sets the bar high.

Disney's The Lion King will be performing at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco from November 1st through January 13, 2013! That gives you enough time to plan to see it with your family and to buy tickets as a Christmas gift.

Full review to follow, but in the meantime who's your favorite The Lion King character??
