I remember watching cartoons when I was about 4 years old and Transformers would come on tv I would watch them because my dad has always loved sci-fi stories, movies, etc. I grew up knowing what Transformers were. When I was pregnant with my eldest child I remember going to the movies with my husband to see a movie premiere, yes it was transformers and I truly enjoyed watching it.
We have all their movies and watch them often, then in 2009 when I found out I was having a boy all my husband would say is how excited he was to share with someone his love of Football and Transformers. He is a hardcore Transformers fan, he even kept some of his childhood transformers toys. Our son now almost 4 years old recently discovered Rescue Bots and a new fan lives in our home.
Every single day my son watches their shows be it online or on tv and when I pick him up from preschool our routine now involves Rescue Bots, we eat lunch while enjoying episodes of Rescue Bots what I love about this time we spend together as mother and son is that we talk about the show and he is so excited about watching Heatwave, Chase, Boulder and Blades he jumps up and down in excitement and will go on and on about Heatwave {that's his favorite character}.
If you haven't watched Transformers Rescue Bots let me tell you a little bit about this show, the autobots have lost their land everything was destroyed and Optimus Prime has found a new land for them to be in. However they must do so undercover as they will be living among humans and learning from humans. Optimus Prime has set them up to be emergency rescue vehicles helping in Griffin Rock which is a very advanced in technology island. Chief Burns is the head of security and safety along with his family he will be teamed up with Chase {police vehicle}, his daughter Dani will be teamed up with Blades {helicopter}, his son Graham is an engineer teamed up with Boulder {bulldozer}, his son Kade is the firefighter teamed up with Heatwave {fire engine} and his youngest son Cody is a key member of the family as he is always helping the Rescue Bots understand how humans think and live.
When we received a copy of the Transformers Rescue Bots "Griffin Rock Rescue" my son literally began running across the living room jumping up and down and saying "Heatwave!" guess that sums up his excitement right?
We have been enjoying watching the DVD in our home and in our car while taking long drives or stuck in traffic. It is the perfect DVD for the whole family.
Our favorite episode so far is "The Other Doctor" which is when a new scientist called Dr. Morocco arrives with a new invention called Morbot, he then takes over the rescue services in Griffin Rock leaving the Burns family along with Rescue Bots out of a job. Cody then searches for proof the he is up to no good. My son always cheers Cody and the Rescue Bots on this episode more than on any episode...
The Transformers Rescue Bots "Griffin Rock Rescue" DVD will be released on DVD October 22 by Shout Factory Kids in collaboration with Hasbro Studios. The M.S. R. P. is $14.93 and is a perfect stocking stuffer for your family.
