On the last day of school at my son's preschool class we made a very beautiful craft for Easter that we then recreated at home. Here is a list of what you will need.
MATERIALS:
Tissue paper in different colors
Clear contact paper
Construction paper in the color of choice
Stapler
Scissors
Step 1:
Cut construction paper in the color chosen in the shape of an oval {egg} cut out also the center part leaving only a silhouette of the egg.
Step 2:
You can either cut into 1 inch squares the many colors of tissue paper you choose or you may purchase a box of squares of tissue paper {ours was purchased at Lakeshore Learning for $9.95}
Step 3:
Cut the contact paper into 2 large rectangle. Large enough to fit the egg silhouette you have in construction paper and place the silhouette onto one of the rectangles.
Step 4:
Begin placing in a single layer the tissue paper in whatever pattern you choose.
Step 5:
Cover the tissue paper with the other rectangle of contact paper. Staple each of the sides with the construction paper. Cut the excess contact paper around the silhouette so you are left with the egg shape only.
I love this!! I want to make one! I really love the little hands in the picture! I bet your son felt great being the "star!"
ReplyDeleteHe sure did! and then my 6 year old made one at home and loved it... It is the perfect craft for little hands and it is not messy at all. :)
