TMNT: The Next Mutation -East meets West {review}

Growing up I remember watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, you see my cousin was a fan from the very beginning influencing me enough to know who they were and what the show was about. Her favorite of course was and still is Donatello. I remember she had a life size plush Donatello she used as a pillow and would travel everywhere with it. She still is a big fan of the TMNT and is teaching all about them to her toddler daughter.

This past March 4th Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation -East Meets West became available on DVD. It features the first 7 episodes of the series which is live action based. Imagine the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise but instead of animation you have real people!

Now what is this DVD about?

Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo were 4 turtles that were genetically mutated and grew to human size ninja powered crime fighters living in the sewers of New York City. They had a ninja master called Splinter and fought their nemesis Shredder. In this DVD new characters are introduced, such as Dragon Lord and a brand new ninja turtle that happens to be female: Venus de Milo.

We watched the DVD and enjoyed reminiscing about our childhood and of course teaching our kids all about COWABUNGA!

Episodes Include:
East Meets West, Part 1
East Meets West, Part 2
East Meets West, Part 3
East Meets West, Part 4
East Meets West, Part 5
The Staff Of Bu-ki
Silver And Gold

If you're a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise and enjoy live action series' then this DVD is perfect for you!

*We received a copy of the TMNT: The Next Mutation -East Meets West DVD in advance for review purposes. All opinions reflected on this blog post are my own.

Mirror Mirror

We are very excited and can't wait for June 26th to be here!

Why?

That is the day that Mirror Mirror -based on one our favorite fairytales- will come out on Blu-ray and DVD!

Mirror Mirror tells the story of Snow White (played by the beautiful Lily Collins), a princess in exile and the evil Queen (played by my favorite actress Julia Roberts!) who ruthlessly rules her captured kingdom. Seven courageous rebel dwarfs join forces with Snow White as she fights to reclaim her birthright and win her Prince in this magical comedy filled with jealousy, romance and betrayal that will capture the hearts and imaginations of audiences.

The film is produced by Bernie Goldmann and the screenplay was written by Marc Klein and Jason Keller. The film also showcases the stunning costumes from Academy Award winning designer Eiko Ishioka. {and believe me they are stunning!}
