September Family Sunday at Mingei

While living in San Diego my family and I loved visiting the Mingei International Museum, it is unique and so much fun to see exhibits that share about culture, traditions, crafts and art. We learned so much.

One of the things I love about Mingei is their family Sunday which is held every third Sunday of the month, this month that would be this coming Sunday September 15th. It is a great event for families to enjoy an afternoon {it is held from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.}.

At September's Family Sunday you will witness the wonders of Nantucket basket weaving with artist Joanie Laib what's more fun is that you will be able to create your very own basket! Using yarn and raffia. There will also be a performance by Camarada  at 2:00 p.m. Admission for Family Sunday is $5.00 per family.

Sounds like lots of fun! Make sure you visit Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park this coming Sunday 15th for September's Family Sunday and let them know I said hi :D
